The leader of Portsmouth City Council says the passion residents have for the city is shining through in opposition to the shipyard closure.

Speaking after the BBC’s Question Time was aired at the Guildhall last night, Gerald Vernon Jackson said: ‘It was great for people to see how much passion the people of Portsmouth have for not just shipbuilding, but also a range of other topics. It was good to see them here.’
