ART group Crafts in the Tower will be exhibiting at Portsmouth’s Square Tower on Sunday.

This month there will be a huge variety of work on show, including Mel Brundritt’s landscape paintings and Sue Meredith’s collages of local scenes.

Founder member and silversmith Sharon Justice will be there with some new jewellery designs.

Sara Findlay makes stained glass jewellery and ornaments and textile artist Lesley George will show her stunning embroidered work in rich fabrics.

Gary Renouf will have a wide range of work in turned wood. He uses unusual varieties of wood to produce work in subtle and fascinating colours.

Diana Wren will be showing a variety of ceramic sculptures and some pieces in carved wood. She will also have some individually-designed hand-printed greetings cards.

The Square Tower is a great place to stop off during your Sunday stroll along the Hot Walls to browse and perhaps buy works direct from the artists. You can also enjoy a refreshing tea or coffee and the tea room’s delicious home-made cakes and savouries.

Crafts in the Tower runs from 11am to 4pm on Sunday August 17 and admission is free.
