NEW data has listed Portsmouth as the top city in which to find a job.

A report from CV-Library showed that, in the last quarter, Portsmouth has experienced a job boom.

In the past 12 months, the city saw a 35.9 per cent increase in advertised vacancies, outpacing the national growth of 12.2 per cent. Brighton was second with a 33.3 per cent rise and London third with 25.8 per cent.

Lee Biggins, founder of CV-Library said: ‘It’s great to see employers in Portsmouth are remaining positive in the face of uncertainty, and that they continued to drive their recruitment efforts,

‘Salaries in the city are also on the rise. It’s clear from the data that not only are businesses in Portsmouth continuing to invest in their workforce, but they also recognise the need to offer competitive salaries in order to attract talented candidates.’
