PARCELFORCE Worldwide is to launch Sunday deliveries in the Portsmouth area this weekend.
The Royal Mail Group’s express parcels business will become Britain’s first national parcels carrier to deliver seven days a week.
The deliverer is based in Fareham and employs 104 people.
Depot manager Bob Watts said: ‘Parcelforce Worldwide has introduced Sunday deliveries to enable online retailers to provide their shoppers with improved flexibility and choice over the delivery of their items.
‘We are pleased to announce Fortnum and Mason is the first retailer to offer the service to its customers, providing them with greater control over the delivery of items they have ordered.’
The service is designed to offer improved flexibility and delivery choice for online shoppers who buy goods from participating retailers.
