Mutiny Festival brings £2.7m into Portsmouth economy

SCORES of homeowners and businesses in Portsmouth have were left without electricity due to a fault with an underground cable.

Twenty-four Southern Electric customers in Haslemere Road, Gurney Road and Liss Road, in Southsea, Perth Road, in Eastney, and Milton Road were affected from 2pm yesterday until 10pm.

Southern Electric discovered the cable had stopped supplying electricity in the afternoon and worked throughout the evening to replace the faulty cable, which runs underneath Rodney Road, with a new one.

Most of those affected had electricity back by 10pm.
