LAWYERS, accountants and chartered surveyors are tuning up as they bid to take the title in a charity battle of the bands.

Law firm Blake Morgan, which has offices in Portsmouth and Southampton, is to host the fourth year of the Solent Rocks! contest at The Brook, Southampton, on Wednesday, October 22.

Blake Morgan’s own band, Eclectic Zoo, will be hoping to hold on to the trophy they won last year – and to the title of ‘Solent Rocks! Best Band’.

But there will be tough competition from musical rivals from other firms in the region including Hughe Fighters, from commercial property agents Hughes Ellard; Clover, from law firm Coffin Mew, and Contraband from chartered surveyors, Primmer Olds.

The bands will play in front of an audience and a panel of independent judges, hoping to take the cup and a cash prize for their chosen charity.
