IBM has reported its net income for the second quarter is up, compared to the same quarter last year.

The firm, the world’s biggest maker of mainframe computers, has its UK headquarters in Northarbour.

The rise was fuelled by strong growth in sales of both its computers and software. It made £2.27bn, compared with £2.1bn a year earlier.
