DETAILS of a public exhibition proposing ideas for the future of Havant town centre have been announced.

Havant Borough Council is holding an informal consultation on the future of 5-17 East Street, 2-12 The Pallant, and St Faith’s Church and church hall.

A statement from the council said: ‘This is an important opportunity for the community and the council to lead the regeneration of this historic part of Havant.

‘Clearly there are a number of complex issues that need to be considered alongside any regeneration proposals for East Street, which includes sensitivity of the historic environment, the viability of the project, community uses, parking and roads.’

The exhibition will be available to view in the Meridian Centre in the former Gamescape shop, starting next Tuesday from 10am to 2pm.

The consultation continues on Wednesday from 10am to midday, Thursday from midday to 2pm and Friday from 2pm to 4pm.
