ADRIAN Haylock has ambitious plans for his business Haylock & Pittman, but he needed a helping hand to get started.

In a project that he estimates will cost just over £100,000, Adrian is looking to expand his business into new premises, invest in his fleet of vehicles, and grow his head count.

The recession has not been an easy time for the painting and decorating company, Adrian is the first to admit.

He said: ‘We mainly had public sector contracts so when the funding was cut, we lost a lot of work. It was tough.’

Now Haylock & Pittman is on the way up again, and has been given funding from Bridging the Gap of £30,000, with more than £71,000 being raised privately.

The firm has moved into new head office premises in Havant, adding to its Chichester office serving West Sussex.
