ONE of the RAF’s top pilots enlisted the help of defence firm BAE Systems ahead of performing in front of thousands of aviation fans at Goodwood.

Flight Lieutenant Noel Rees, a member of 29 Squadron based at RAF Coningsby, Lincolnshire, which is involved in training pilots, has been chosen as the Typhoon Display Pilot to perform at air shows this summer.

He will be among the performers at the four-day Goodwood Festival of Speed which got under way at the Goodwood Aerodrome today.

The display team is sponsored by BAE Systems, which carries out final assembly of the Typhoon jet at its base in Warton.
