FONTWELL Park Racecourse is expecting a record crowd for the Easter half-term raceday on Tuesday, with ticket sales already up by 10 per cent on last year’s meeting.

Nearly 3,000 people went last year to the track, which has had £8m of improvements since it was bought by Northern Racing in 2002.

The meeting sees advance tickets at £10 and the day itself will include events for youngsters, including an Easter egg hunt and colouring competitions.

Under-16s get free admittance.
