A POPULAR farmers’ market in Fareham is set to be moved to make way for a Freedom March.

The monthly market in West Street will take place on Saturday, May 7 from 9am until 2pm.

Up to 40 local producers will be selling their produce directly to customers, including fruit and vegetables, eggs, fish, meat, bread, cakes and honey.

This market will be moved for the day to the other end of the pedestrian area. It will be in its normal place on June 4.

The traders will be between Barclays Bank and Nationwide Building Society.

This is due to a Freedom March by HMS Collingwood and the Royal Marine Band.
