FAST food giant McDonalds has closed one of its major high street restaurants.

Shoppers were stunned to see a sign in the window of the Waterlooville branch explaining the closure, on Wednesday.

The company said it was down to ‘changing trading patterns.’ Waterloo councillor Ray Bastin said: ‘It’s dreadful.

Every time I went past there it always looked very busy to me.’
