PLANS have been put in for the redevelopment of an industrial site in Havant.

Hargreaves Properties Ltd has applied to build two large industrial units to the south of Solent Road.

The site, near Brockhampton Lane, was built in the 1960s and most of the current buildings are vacant.

The development aims to allow the relocation of nearby businesses EMP Tooling Services and Havant Motor Factors.

Officers at Havant Borough Council have supported the application.

David Harris, economic development officer, said: ‘We support this application which, when occupied, will create much-needed jobs.’

Councillors will decide on the plans later this year.
