REVIEWS of how businesses have performed this year should form part of their planning for the next 12 months, according to Barclays bank in Portsmouth.
Dan Brogan, Barclays Business area manager for Portsmouth, said: ‘Why not start the new year by taking the time to review your business? As well as considering your overall business strategy you should also be planning your approach to marketing, sales, finance, risk and human resources.’
He is urging firms to consider planning for the year ahead, in terms of how far the business should grow and whether it is achievable.
He said: ‘Speak to your bank manager to see how they can support you.
‘Your bank should be well placed to help you plan for the year ahead, to anticipate future needs and ensure you have the right financial support and solutions in place.’
He is also calling for firms to simplify and streamline their operations to make day-to-day admin less time consuming.
Mr Brogan also wants more firms to have a better work/life balance in 2012, and identify any risks.
