SHOPPERS expressed their disappointment after Portsmouth’s Comet store shut its doors for good.

The Ocean retail park store was closed to customers yesterday despite it being the chain’s last day of trading.

It is understood the Portsmouth store sold its last item on Sunday.

The chain went into administration earlier this year before administrators Deloitte announced store closures.

Hopeful customer Richard Watt, from Denmead, said outside the store it was a shame the chain has been shut down.
