PEOPLE of all ages in Portsmouth are being encouraged to investigate career progression and training opportunities available to them as part of Adult Learners’ Week this week.

CITB, the industry training board and Sector Skills Council for the construction industry, is encouraging anyone interested in or currently employed in construction to find out about the many training opportunities available to them to kick start or bolster their career.

Roger Stone, sector strategy manager south west for CITB said investing in skills is ‘vital’ for firms to remain competitive.

He added: ‘As a hi-tech industry that is constantly evolving, anyone working in construction needs to be seeking out training opportunities, whether they’re just starting out or running their own business.’
