A SMALL business owner has beaten hundreds of others to be short-listed in the national Nectar Business Small Business Awards 2014.

Small Ideas is just weeks away from finding out if it has won the Innovation of the Year category, which is judged by a panel of experts including leading businesswoman and star of BBC1’s The Apprentice, Karren Brady CBE.

The awards celebrate the achievements of hard-working small businesses and business people across the UK.

If successful, Rachael Forder will win £2,000 cash, 50,000 Nectar points and the prestigious title.

Rachael will also be invited to the Nectar Business Round Table event, which will take place in September.

Small Ideas has designed and launched LumiPotti – the first night light potty, in a market currently dominated by nappy products.

It helps children become nappy-free day and night.
