A FIRM of solicitors will charter two yachts to celebrate the return of the America’s Cup.

The event in Portsmouth runs from July 24-26 and will see Sir Ben Ainslie compete with team Land Rover BAR for Britain.

To mark the occasion, Southsea firm Large & Gibson will be chartering two yachts on June 30, as a prelude to the weekend activities.

They will sail from Gunwharf and having a mini regatta in the Solent, racing against each other. On board will be loyal clients, colleagues and prestigious representatives of many local businesses.

Rachel Harvey, office manager, said: ‘Like most loyal citizens of Portsmouth, we are very much looking forward to the return of the America’s Cup to our home town for the second year running.

‘At Large & Gibson Solicitors we pride ourselves on being stalwarts of this great city, having offered legal services for over 115 years, from the same beautiful Georgian building in the
heart of Southsea, on Kent Road.

‘Portsmouth City Council leader, Cllr Donna Jones, said to have the America’s Cup returning is great for the whole community. And we are proud to have been associated with all the work that has gone on behind the scenes to bring this event to fruition.’
