A LAW firm that advised the Pompey Supporters’ Trust is set to enter administration.

Manchester-based solicitors Cobbetts filed a notice to appoint administrators on Monday, according to The Lawyer website.

In December, Cobbetts confirmed it was working with the Pompey Supporters’ Trust and their Rangers equivalent to help fans acquire stakes in the football clubs.

On its website it says Cobbetts partner Kevin Jaquiss advised Pompey fans on an agreement to allow the organisation to increase a proposed shareholding in the club.

The News understands Cobbetts’ administration will not have an effect on the Pompey Supporters’ Trust’s bid to take over the club.
