SHOPPERS will have a bit of culture with their bargain hunting when a classical singer comes to Fareham.

Soprano singer Rebecca Newman will be performing at the bandstand in West Street, tomorrow at 11am to 2pm as part of the town centre’s annual music month.

Rebecca said: ‘I’ve sung at prestigious venues such as the Royal Albert Hall but alongside this I like to bring music out on to the streets.

‘It has allowed me to bring my music to people who may not otherwise get the chance to hear me.

‘And especially with the economic doom and gloom in the news, I like to help cheer people up and offer something a bit different while they do their shopping or pop to the bank.’
