Staff raise thousands for abuse charity

Lidl wants to replace Fareham store with more ‘contemporary building’

THE Southsea Knight and Lee branch of department store chain John Lewis has donated a four-figure sum to charity.

Staff have been fundraising for the Southern Domestic Abuse Service since 2010, and this week handed over a cheque for £5,403.

The charity supports victims of abuse in the Havant area, and a number of parents and children from Portsmouth also benefit from its services.

John Smith, Knight and Lee branch manager, said: ‘Meeting the people at Southern Domestic Abuse Service has been truly inspiring and I am so pleased that our partners have been able to support such a valuable resource for our local community.’
