CATERING students from South Downs College were invited to prepare and cook a three course meal.
The students were invited to ‘The Great British Menu College Lunches’, hosted by the Brookfield Hotel, as part of the Emsworth British Food Fortnight.
The Emsworth British Food Fortnight hosts a variety of events showcasing the local heritage and passion for great British food.
Level 2 Craft Catering and Level 3 Professional Cookery students at the college worked in the Brookfield Hotel’s commercial restaurant.
They were tasked with preparing, cooking and serving a three course ‘Great British Menu’.
Marcus Chilstone, head chef at the Brookfield Hotel, said: ‘It’s great to work with colleges, such as South Downs College, as it gives students a good chance to gain some hands-on experience in a real catering environment. They’ve all been great and have adapted well.’
