THE Portsmouth depot of tool hire firm Speedy has teamed up with the Health and Safety Executive as part of its annual campaign to reduce the number of accidents caused by unsafe ladders.

It is offering a 40 per cent discount on all new ladders in exchange for old ladders which will be recycled.

The pledge is part of a UK-wide Ladder Exchange designed to reduce the number of deaths and injuries caused by faulty equipment.

The scheme is running from September until the end of the year, and to find out more about the scheme, call 0845 601 5129 or see hse.gov.uk/falls/ladderexchange
