A NEW tattoo and piercings studio has opened in Waterlooville town centre.

AJ Studio has opened at Unit 16, The Boulevard – formerly Groom Barbers – after moving into the town

This follows property consultancy Myddelton & Major negotiating a deal on the 483 sq ft (44.87sq m) shop.

Myddelton & Major Partner Simon Lee said: ‘New tenant John Simkins is an established tattoo artist who established his own studio in 2013.

‘He was looking to relocate his team of Roxie Kirkby, Keith Samways and Nessa Roberts to new premises and we were happy to help.

‘I am sure the new business will fit in very well alongside established traders.’

AJ Studio is a fully insured, small outfit covering all aspects of tattooing, including freehand designs, cover-ups, portraits, realism, script and reworks.

The Boulevard forms a busy pedestrian thoroughfare, linking the main pedestrian section of London Road with the Dukes Walk shopping centre. Other nearby retailers include Costa Coffee, Travelcare and SpecSavers.
