Commercial Property specialists in Portsmouth are welcoming a new member of the team.

Julian De Giovanni brings with him over a decade of experience in property law to Verisona Law.

He wanted to be a solicitor from his early teens. Career .taster days’ visiting legal firms and school trips to the Law Society only strengthened his resolve.

He said: ‘I loved the transition from the theoretical, academic learning of the law, to its practical application in real-life situations.’

Julian was given a training contract at Pearson Maddin Solicitors in Surrey where he experienced family law, personal injury and various aspects of property.

A year after he qualified in 2001, he joined Laytons Solicitors in Guildford to work on property development in plot sales department.

In May 2007, Julian and his wife made the decision to spend a year travelling the world.

Returning at the time of a major property crash, Julian joined Downie & Gadban Solicitors in Alton.

Mr Giovanni said: ‘It is good to be part of a bigger firm than my last.

‘I have always enjoyed working in property. Whether residential or commercial, it can be stressful, but it is often a source of great positivity and excitement for the people involved.’
