A TECHNOLOGY firm that has recently moved into a new £1.4m headquarters in Portsmouth has continued its growth by recruiting a new head of global business development.
Loadbalancer.org, a provider of loadbalancers – a device that acts as a reverse proxy and distributes network or application traffic – has hired Russell Winter in its worldwide sales team.
Worldwide sales at the company, which covers 74 countries, have increased 30 per cent each year since it started in 2003.
Russell, a former venture capitalist, said: ‘I feel like I’m back in Silicon Valley with another exciting, rapidly growing and already successful software company.
‘What Loadbalancer.org does, and does extremely well, is at the very heart of IT and the demand for such a tried-and-tested tool as theirs will only go up.’
Loadbalancers, also known as application delivery controllers, manage activity on IT systems to prevent collapses under the strain of sudden bursts of traffic or equipment failures.
Owner Malcolm Turnbull said: ‘Russell’s arrival is fantastic for us. His passion for IT really shines through.’
Loadbalancer.org recently moved into a new headquarters at Compass House, Portsmouth.
