A CUTTING-EDGE testing plant and training facility for CO2 has been chosen by Eastleigh College as the venue for its industry training courses.

Farlington-based DCI Refrigeration’s base will be used in two of the college’s courses for would-be and existing workers in the refrigeration and air-conditioning industry.

The first is a two-day course titled ‘Use and Safe Handling of Carbon Dioxide’ which has been developed in conjunction with the British Refrigeration Association and the Carbon Trust.

The other is a City and Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Carbon Dioxide course.

Shaun Creech, of Eastleigh College, said: ‘Accessing DCI’s specialist facility is a great development for us and the industry.

‘The dedicated training we can now offer is vital to ensure expert and safe design and installation.’
