STAFF at Affinion International in Portsmouth have raised money for a hospital appeal.

A themed fundraising day raised £627 for Southampton General Hospital Charity’s Red & White Appeal.

It aims to raise £1.76m to create a specialist day treatment unit for patients with leukaemia and other life-threatening blood disorders from across Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Wiltshire, Dorset, West Sussex and the Channel Islands.

The appeal was chosen as the son of a former manager at the firm was diagnosed with lymphoblastic lymphoma in 2011 and is receiving treatment at Southampton General Hospital.

Team leader and event organiser Louise Brady said: ‘Our staff work hard, so we take every opportunity to lighten the atmosphere in our office by arranging theme days.’
