CHARITIES in the south will be feeling the pinch increasingly, a survey has found, as public spending cuts bite in a background of rising costs.

Many have reduced personnel or working hours.

Nick Sladden, southern region head of the charities and education group at Baker Tilly, said: ‘The strong success of this strategy in the sector is reflected in over half of respondents indicating that they will pursue some form of collaboration over the next 12 months.’
