TICKETS are now on sale for the America’s Cup finals after a report revealed the benefits Portsmouth gained from holding a qualifying round of the sailing competition this summer.
City residents are being offered the chance to snap up tickets to the spectacle in Bermuda, taking place in May and June next year.
Passes are available for an America’s Cup Village being created on the North Atlantic island, as well as grandstand seating.
There are also options to watch the action on the water.
Hopes are high Portsmouth-based sailing team Land Rover BAR, captained by Sir Ben Ainslie, will win and bring the contest back to Britain.
A report by audit firm KPMG has revealed Sir Ben’s sailing enterprise and this year’s city regatta brought £39.8m worth of benefits to the UK economy.
