FOURTEEN apprentices have joined timer and builders merchant, Covers to learn crucial business skills in the field.

The successful applicants have enlisted on one and two year programmes with the merchant, which has 13 depots across the south coast.

The courses focus on demonstrating how a business operates and teaches a range of skills including practical tasks, sales, teamwork, office administration and stock management.

Former apprentice Josh Formaggia described the programme as invaluable. Josh said: ‘During my time at Covers not only have I learnt an incredible amount about how the business operates but I have also had the opportunity to obtain qualifications including my combi lift-truck licenses and an NVQ in customer services.’ If you are interested in becoming an apprentice for Covers, please contact Rhea Sampson on 01243 791414
