HOMEOWNERS are being urged to take up the opportunity to insulate their properties for free.

The winter warmer scheme, which is run by Insulate Hampshire, aims to save Hampshire households money during the tough economic climate.

Available to homeowners across the area, the scheme offers free cavity wall and free loft insulation and runs until the end of March.

Councillor Seán Woodward, executive leader of Fareham Borough Council, said: ‘The Insulate Hampshire scheme has already proved to be very popular with the residents of Fareham.

‘I would like to take this opportunity to encourage homeowners who have yet to take advantage of the free insulation, to sign up. This will help Hampshire residents reduce the amount of energy they use to keep their homes warm.’

The offer excludes those who live in the Portsmouth City Council area.
