SPECIALIST holiday operator Peak Retreats has double cause for celebration after marking its 10th anniversary with a huge award win.

Nathalie Soma, director of Southsea’s Peak Retreats, has been given the Medaille du Tourisme for services to the French tourism industry, by the French Government.

She was presented with her award at a dinner in London by Jean-Pierre Courteau, head of the French Government Tourist office in the UK.

Peak Retreats was set up by Nathalie and her co-director Xavier Schouller in Portsmouth in 2002 as an alternative to mass market ski holidays.

It has helped travellers uncover the real France rather than use resorts.
