Uber users in the UK will now be able to add multiple stops to a trip within the app, the car hailing service has said.

The feature will be brought in to more than 40 towns in the next week as well as across the world and cities across the country and will allow the input of multiple destinations at once for the first time.

Uber has operated in Portsmouth for two years.

The ride sharing app is currently appealing against a decision by Transport for London to not renew the company’s operating licence in the city.

Uber, which is able to continue operating during its appeal, said the new feature would ‘ensure more transparency’ on fares for both passengers and drivers.

Previously, passengers had to make changes to their destination during trips in order to stop at multiple locations.
