RESIDENTS are being warned of bogus callers following the wettest winter on record.

Southern Water is carrying out flood-related work as groundwater levels start to recede.

But the company said this may lead to people impersonating staff and knocking on homes in order to commit theft.

If in doubt, ask for identification.
