THOSE who want to step off shore and spend their lives on the ocean waves have been given an extra hand with the launch of a new website.

Gosport’s Boatshed.com has launched Boatshedliveaboard.com after government housing minister Grant Shapps urged local councils to increase houseboat moorings.

The firm’s founders, Neil and Mandy Chapman, talk from experience as they run their business from a boat in Gosport’s Royal Clarence Yard marina.

Neil said: ‘With the new government plans now fitting into place, we feel an increased demand for houseboats is inevitable.’
