There will be no changes to refuse and recycling collections between Boxing Day and New Years Day.

The collection crews will be working bank holidays so wheeled bins will be emptied in the usual way from 7.00 am on the usual collection days. For the first two collections following Christmas only, the council will take additional refuse left by the side of bins.

The extra waste should be put into normal waste bags and recycling materials should put in any sack other than black or in a cardboard box next to the recycling bin.

Gosport Borough council is also offering free Christmas tree collection on normal garden waste days, from January 9 to 13 2017.
