SHOPPERS wandering through Cascades Shopping Centre in Portsmouth will be able to browse the internet while they do so.

The centre is joining up with a Digital Inclusion project for Portsmouth, and will boot up its wi-fi on August 3.

The Unity Wi-Fi service – Cascades Community UK – operating from Cascades, will be offered in partnership with CommunityUK.net, a firm based in Portsmouth which provides low-cost wi-fi spots throughout the UK.

Cascades Shopping Centre director Rhoda Joseph said: ‘Cascades is proud to support CommunityUK.net in this project.

‘This is an extremely worthwhile initiative that will serve the whole community.

‘Our shoppers will be able to not only access discounts and offers specific to Cascades, but they can also check their Facebook or search for a job or training course at the same time.’
