BUTLINS is introducing butlers at its Bognor Regis resort.
The six butlers – wearing top hats and pink and navy uniforms with tails – will be on call at the Ocean Hotel & Spa from Easter.
They will welcome guests, take them on a tour of the resort, serve breakfast in bed, book activities such as archery and fencing, arrange picnics and book dinner reservations.
Mike Crowther, operations director, said: ‘We’re sure the butlers will be a huge hit, adding that extra bit of luxury.
‘Our families deserve to be spoiled when they come on holiday and we will be able to give them a taste of star treatment.’
Bognor has seen a sharp rise in visitor numbers following the decision to use the seaside resort as a location for the new James Bond film.
The website LateRooms.com reported a 40 per cent increase in hotel bookings since January, when news of the filming was leaked. Location scouts are believed to have chosen Bognor following a cut in the film–makers’ budget.
