FINALISTS of the Young Start-Up Talent Hampshire competition will be showcasing their businesses in Fareham Shopping Centre throughout July.

The competition, open to anyone aged 16-25, aims to find Hampshire’s most promising ‘newtrepreneurs’ and the five final teams were announced at Fareham Innovation Centre on June 15.

The five fledging businesses will soon be given a taste of what it’s like to trade with the public. Each team will be granted a one-week slot in which they can present their idea to shoppers in Fareham.

The opportunity has been provided by Space to Trade, an organisation who offer promotion and selling opportunities to businessess who plan to sell their products in shopping centres.

Helen Frost, account manager of Space to Trade and Young-Trust panel judge said: ‘I was amazed at how young some of the contenders were and what they have achieved. They are inspirational. These are the new businessmen and women of the future in Fareham and I can’t wait to see them set up at Fareham Shopping Centre.’

Portsmouth local and competition finalist, Ming Wu will be kicking off the process by presenting his business The Maker’s Guild from tomorrow, July 3. The rest of the finalists will then follow.
