GOOD causes in the Portsmouth area have been short-listed to get funding from NatWest’s CommunityForce programme.

There are 120 in the category, which includes wider south-east Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

Now people are being invited to vote for their favourite cause, with the winner getting £6,000 of the bank’s money to help fund their good deeds.

Jason Allen, chief executive for NatWest in Portsmouth, said: ‘CommunityForce has clearly captured the imagination of the community and I’m delighted to see so many nominations.

‘Now by letting local people vote for the award winners we can ensure that these funds go to the organisations that they value the most.

‘CommunityForce is part of NatWest’s ongoing commitment to support the communities where we live and work; not just by donating funds, but through volunteering our time and expertise.’
