Wright: I'm trying to find my dad and any brothers or sisters I may have.
My mum met my dad in the early 1970s when he was based in Plymouth with the Royal Navy on board HMS Tenby.
They were together a short time but split up when she was pregnant with me, I was born in January 1973 and we never saw or heard from him again.
My dad was born on December 19, 1949 in Smallheath, Birmingham and raised on Jenkin Street and Weoley Castle.
His dad was John Wright, who passed away in 1983 aged 72 in Scotland and my dad was flown to the funeral by the Royal Navy.
His mum was called Florence Watson and she died in 2004, aged 78.
My dad's full name is David John Wright and he has two sisters, Joy Ann and Lois.
He joined the Navy when he was 16 or 18 years old and served on HM Ships Tenby, Sceptre and Oracle. He was a CPO when he was on Oracle.
But in 1984/85 as he was getting off a boat in Houston, Texas, he received severe injuries and was flown to the RN Hospital in Gosport, where his family visited him.
When he got out of hospital he got himself a flat in Portsmouth. His family visited a couple of times but on the last occasion they visited he had moved and they couldn't find him as he was discharged from the RN because of his injuries.
He then called his mum in 1989 to say he was homeless which was the last time they heard from him.
His last known address was in Ophir Road, Portsmouth.
