If you're struggling to find things to do - and money to do it with - at this stage in the holidays, don't forget there are brilliant displays at Portsmouth City Museum - and entry is free.

One of them, Secrets of the Saucy Seaside Postcard, is on until Sunday September 14.

The exhibition celebrates the nation's love of the cheeky seaside postcard and showcases the art of the comic postcards, following their production from the artist's rough sketch through to the final printed version.

On display are 250 examples of original artwork and a selection of original postcards.

Portsmouth City Museum is open 10am – 5.30pm, Monday to Sunday with free access to all.
