Fans of Wallace and Gromit will get the chance to see one of their Oscar winning adventures for free in a special screening in the city.
Portsmouth City Museum is staging the free screenings of Nick Park's famous animation, The Wrong Trousers, as well as shorts of Shaun the Sheep on Sunday, May 18, as part of Museums and Galleries Month.

The city museum, in Museum Road, Old Portsmouth, is one of more than 70 museums and galleries around the country taking part in the event, in association with Aardman Animations.

Museums and Galleries Month is the UK's biggest celebration of museums and galleries, taking place throughout May and offering a broad programme of events, exhibitions and activities.

This year the theme is ideas and innovation – reflected in the choice of film.

There will be five showings throughout the day from 10am to 5.30pm, and admission is free.
