Broadway hit musical Seussical is being staged by HumDrum at the New Theatre Royal, Portsmouth, from tomorrow < Tues>.

It is billed as a 'fantastic, frenetic, fun, family show' based largely on Dr Seuss's story, Horton Hears a Who - but with added extras.

Favourite characters created by Seuss are present, from the evil Grinch to the legendary Cat in the Hat. It is the Cat himself who steers us through the story of Horton the elephant's efforts to protect the people of Whoville.

The Whos live on a tiny speck of dust but only Horton can hear them.

Performances are from Tuesday to Saturday (7.30pm). Tickets: (023) 9264 9000.
