SOPRANO Laura Miller will be singing her heart out tomorrow in a bid to make it through to the finals of a TV talent show.
The musical 22-year-old will be hoping to make sweet music along with her friends from the ACM Gospel Choir as they attempt to win the BBC's primetime show, Last Choir Standing.

They've already wowed the judges – including top tenor Russell Watson – and must now secure the public's support to be in with a chance of beating off the other five acts.

Laura, of Furzehall Avenue, Fareham, is a soprano in the 28-strong choir which is made up of fellow students at The Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford.

And filming the show has given her an insight into what goes on behind the scenes of a TV show, as well as a chance to meet the programme's glamorous presenter Myleene Klass.

Laura said: 'It's been such a great experience and being in the studio has been a big buzz. Myleene's lovely and very beautiful. She does know a lot about music and she's very chatty.'

The ACM Gospel Choir impressed the judges to win a place in the final stages of the competition with their renditions of Eternal's I Wanna Be The Only One and Bob Marley's One Love.

They will sing the Earth Wind and Fire hit September live on Saturday and hope it's enough to win the public vote which would carry them through to the next round.

Laura said: 'We do this because we love it and we are passionate about music. Hopefully that comes across on the TV and people will see we are a big group of friends.

'We'd really like a chance to go further in the competition and hopefully people will see we've put a lot of effort in.'

Laura's proud parents Ros and Malcolm will be in the audience on Saturday when the show goes live to the nation at 7pm on BBC One.
