Roll up! Roll up! to Southsea Common where Continental Circus Berlin which will pitch its big top tent on Thursday.

The show promises to be 'a fusion of contemporary circus and scintillating cabaret' with a host of new acts.

They include the Ikar Troupe from Bulgaria, a seven-strong combo of spiralling springboard acrobats rotating 30 ft into the air.

From the Ukraine is Clown Nicolai, and from the UK the beautiful hula hoop queen Jana.

There will also be a musical family of clowns as well as Colombian
daredevils The Marinos. Their performance will include some high wire walking and Pere Marinos will be precariously skipping and jumping on the top of the rotating Wheel of Death while it flies into the roof of the big top at 30 miles an hour.

From Spain come the trapeze, juggling and wire acts of Lydia, Miki and Nicol. Plus from Hong Kong there will be the Kung Fu of The Oriental Warriors which includes the breaking of house bricks on the head of Shi Yang Yun with a sledge hammer.

This brand new show is an amalgamation of fantastic circus acts from all over the world.
