Chalkhill Lives is the creation of Steven Surridge, the show's executive producer and script editor, and tells the stories of people who live on the fictional Chalkhill estate.
this bears a striking resemblance to Paulsgrove as most of the filming takes place there - right beneath the chalk face of Portsdown Hill.

Chalkhill Lives, billed as the world's first community-based internet and TV soap, was launched in April 2003 on a shoestring budget and gives budding actors and actresses the opportunity to get in front of the camera.
Filming for a fourth series is now under way and Steven's ambition is to take
Chalkhill Lives to another level - as a commercial internet soap where actors get paid to perform.
