Alert over dishwasher fire

A FIRE which started in a dishwasher sparked an emergency response today.
Firefighters from Fareham and the retained crew at Portchester were called to tackle the blaze in a first-floor flat in Greyshott Avenue, Fareham at 11.05am.
The fire was contained in the flat and was quickly brought under control.
Firefighters managed to put it out within 20 minutes, and no-one is believed to have been hurt during the incident.
